Nepotism is the practice among those with the power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs. This has impacted me in a negative way since my own family hurt me outside in public solely for the reason that I was born with Hypoxia. My dad gave the power of attorney of his business to my brother despite the fact that I am the one with the business background. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Business Management minor as well as an Associates Degree in Business Administration. My brother on the other hand has a Degree in Medicine he is a doctor, not a Businessman. Therefore, I have always wondered how me being born with hypoxia in my brain was my fault?? Hypoxia is when you do NOT get enough OXYGEN to a certain part of your body which leads that part to get damaged.
During my BIRTH, I did NOT get enough OXYGEN to the left side of my brain which lead me to have a LANGUAGE LEARNING DISABILITY. Thus, I had a hard time learning how to communicate and understand language while growing up. Thus, growing up I witnessed my mother bashing me in front of her family, relatives, and friends. I never understood what she was trying to get out of bashing me! Even today I do NOT understand what my mother got out of publicly humiliating. Maybe, it is due to the fact that my parents are Desi Muslim and that by mistake I was born with the wrong genital as a female. Plus, my dad told me a few years ago that I would have been proud of you if you were my son and not my daughter since you are just like me.
Also, my mother blamed me for being the reason behind for misery my whole life. She also said I caused her pain before I was born. Now imagine being told by your mother that you are the reason behind all her problems! That is the most painful thing anyone can ever hear from their mother. People always sympathized with my mother since they ONLY heard one side of the story which was her side. They NEVER cared for my side since the culture they are from is the Indian/ Pakistani culture. In that culture, people believe everything parents speak about their children even if the parents are WRONG.
